• one of the main characters acts in drag and can/will use their femininity as a weapon
• demonstrates accurate sexual and romantic awakening in adolescence
• shows the loyalty between animal and people- on that note bad ass animals
• dystopian AND scifi?!!!
• bees?!
• expresses different types of strength through all their characters- also showing that being emotional/empathetic/sympathetic is not a weakness
• beautiful character development
• balanced independency and dependency in a relationship

honestly I could go on. but let me also mention: WONDERFUL NOVEL TO ANIME ADAPTATION. CONDENSING A 742 PAGE NOVEL (OR 9 VOLUME LIGHT NOVEL SERIES) INTO AN 11 EPISODE ANIME, BEAUTIFULLY.
